Hello, I have become very passionate about this year's alumni trustee vote. If I might ask a favor, please share this message with any alum you might know to encourage them to vote in this upcoming election. We need change and we can't afford to have Deviney and Suhey reelected. Only 6% of alumni voted last year. In a recent letter to the Centre Daily Times, one alum described the importance of the upcoming election of the three alumni representatives for the Penn State Board of Trustees:
If you agree with this view, I hope that you will join me and take the time to vote in the upcoming election. Most alumni do not know that you do not have to be a member of the Alumni Association to vote. I have attached an information sheet describing how to request your ballot. There are 39 candidates for these three seats and reading about them can be time-consuming. One alumni group, Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship (PS4RS; www.ps4rs.org ) is using a very active vetting process, including a primary election among its members, to identify and elect the three candidates that will provide responsible leadership for the University. You can join PS4RS by clicking on the above link and be part of this effort. Thank you for stepping forward to support the Penn State that we know and love. Peggy Glaser Vote Flyer - PDFOr : text |
